As part of the BTRDA’s continued drive to encourage new competitors into Motorsport, decided to promote an AutoSOLO series in 2007, which continued in 2008 and 2009. We are pleased to confirm that, with the support of the MSA, the series will run again in 2010. Theinterest in this new branch of sport at Club level continues to grow, as it enables competitors to use standard, road going cars with minimal preparation, whilst still remaining highly competitive and is therefore a natural lead for new competitors into other branches of the Sport.
The Challenge is open to Competitors who are 25 or under, or those who have not held a MSA Competition Licence in the past 10 years, and consists of a number of qualifying rounds throughout the UK to minimise travelling, culminating an a Final to decided the Challenge Champion and Class Winners. All these qualifying rounds, from which points will be accrued, and the Final, for which double points will be allocated, will be run at Clubsport level, so are an ideal opportunity for new entrants to Motorsport to use their road going vehicles to gain valuable experience of car control and of competition, before moving on into more specialist areas.
The Challenge Rules and registration form appear on this site together with a calendar of events.
