Ian Bell continued his dominance of sporting trials by winning the opening round of the BTRDA season in Cumbria ahead of Julian Fack who was debuting his brothers John's former championship winning Crossle with the steering wheel on the wrong side (for Julian) ahead of a rare appearance from local Dave Martin. Robin Jager finished fourth overall and top live axle following his promotion to the red class.
Former British champion Geoff Rawson returned to the sport following a sixteen year absence and finished a brilliant seventh overall beating the cars owner convincingly taking just a few hills to show all his old flair. Will it be a one off appearance or a full time return? Boyd Webster won the intermediate class from Martin Grimwood in eighth overall on a tie-break that went as far as two's!
